Gamedrives

There is no better way to make the most of the incredible Auob Reserve than one of our famous guided safari game drives. With stops along the way to view the Kalahari’s diverse wildlife from the top of our open game viewing vehicles, this two- to three-hour safari allows you to get close to the heart of Mother Africa. Best enjoyed in the morning or late afternoon, a game drive is perfectly complemented by a Dinner on the Dunes.

We are particularly known for our Sundowner Game Drives, where you can see the freely roaming animals of the Kalahari on the expansive horizon as the sun sets against the red dunes for a picture-perfect view of one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

Hiking

With three hiking trails for all levels, we offer both guided and unguided options if you want to get closer to the Kalahari. Explore the vegetation and see the animal life that call the desert dunes their home. If you would like to get a deep insight into the most interesting aspects of the desert-adapted wildlife, then our expert guides are on hand to share their knowledge with you. If you would like to enjoy the trails independently, then you have the freedom to take to Kalahari unassisted. The three trails are 6km, 8km and a half-day game-spotting hike.

Dinner on the Dunes

Best enjoyed after a fabulous afternoon game drive, our Dinner on the Dunes is a magical experience. Following a refreshing sundowner, settle down to a flawless three-course meal on the red dunes of the Kalahari, under the sparkling canopy of the stars in the Namibian night sky.

Stargazing

The skies above the Kalahari offer some of the clearest views of the universe anywhere in the world. With no light pollution to spoil the view, the pristine heavens of the Southern Hemisphere reveal beautiful constellations. After your evening meal, treat yourself with a private walk just a few steps away from the lodge and look up at the vast expanse above.
